This space is for users of the free anuboXBRL Reader add-in for Microsoft Excel. Reader lets you open official iXBRL/XBRL filings and insert values directly into Excel – without needing deep XBRL expertise.

Reader is designed for working with public filings such as US GAAP, ESEF/IFRS, and other regulatory frameworks.

Use this category to:

  • Ask questions about installing and registering the Reader add-in

  • Get help opening iXBRL/XBRL filings and uploading ZIP files

  • Troubleshoot inserting single items, sections, or full tables into your spreadsheets

  • Share tips, workflows and best practices with other users

  • Report issues you encounter while working with public filings in Reader

How support works

  • Support here is community-driven: other users may answer your questions.

  • Where possible, anubo staff may join the discussion, but there is no entitlement to direct anubo support and no service-level guarantees for Reader users.

Keep data safe

  • Only use public filings or anonymised examples in your questions and screenshots.

  • Do not post confidential issuer data or non-public financial information.

  • Do not post anything you do not have the right to share, for example data purchased for private/internal use only (commercial databases, paywalled research, licensed datasets, etc.).

Public topics and private messages

  • Reader questions should start as public topics in this category so that others can learn from the answers.

  • If we need account-specific or sensitive details, anubo staff may open a private message with you.

  • Private messages are not public, but they are not end-to-end encrypted:

    • they are stored in the forum database and backups,

    • they can be accessed by site administrators if necessary.
      Please treat private messages as less public than the forum, but not suitable for highly confidential information.
